Buying A House With Mold Issues

If you found your dream house, but discover it has mold issues do not fear. When I was looking at houses I found one that had leaking pipes and the associated mold issues that go with it. At first I was heart broken, thinking I could not get the house. After talking with some professionals I found out all was not lost. 

Working with my real estate agent I learned that I could offer a lower price on the house because of the black mold discovery.  Being able to negotiate a lower price to compensate for the mold removal costs allowed me to essentially get the seller to pay for the mold removal.

Also when hiring a mold removal contractor I was able to negotiate with a few local companies to get the absolute best price.  Both companies came out to the house and did a mold inspection, completed a summary of work report and provided an estimate of how much the cleanup services would cost. Overall the costs were not that bad and I was more than happy to pay them to complete the work so I could move into my new house.

The mold removal companies were able to complete the job in less that two weeks, now I have a great mold free house and I can saw I got the house at a great price.
