LUXURY PROPERTIES IN GREECE
So far, most of the posts have concentrated upon the lower end investments in Greece. For those of you who found a little spare change down the back of the sofa, here are a few of the luxury properties in Greece. These offer the chance to own a piece of prime real estate that is unique, beautiful and packed with ancient history
Skaros, Santorini:
Everybody knows Santorini, also known as Thera. This awe-inspiring island seamlessly blends the ancient and modern alongside the view captured in a thousand paintings. The Ancient Minoan ruins of Akrotiri sit alongside the modern towns of Fira and Oia, perching precariously over the precipitous cliffs of the caldera. Santorini possesses the old charm of Greece integrated with a pulsating nightlife, and the chance to sample the finest wine in Greece.
For a mere 350 Million Euros, you could own one of the juiciest slabs of real estate in the world. The site combines a breath-taking sunset view with centuries of unrivalled history. This plot in Skaros is the ultimate location, and a chance to own a prestigious segment of Greek culture.
Ch ania, Crete:
Chania is a town steeped in history, inhabited since Neolithic times and mentioned by Homer during the Golden Age of Gods and Heroes. The beautiful Venetian architecture of the old town contrasts wit h the neo-classical modern city. Amongst the historical buildings, traditional Cretan bands mix with jazz musicians and rock bands, part of Chania’s all-year round nightlife and relaxed café culture. Transport links include a ferry port for the slow boat to Piraeus and a small airport for those in a hurry to reach Athens.
There are many beautiful homes for sale in Chania, Crete offering a unique mix of sun, culture and climate, topped off with one of the most beautiful sea views in the world. At less than US $ 1 000 000, this property is a wonderful opportunity for those wishing to mix lazy days on the beach with the chance to walk in the snow-capped White Mountains.
Aghios Nikolaos, Crete:
In complete contrast to Chania, Aghios Nikolaos offers a quieter lifestyle. The area is less rugged than Chania, but offers some of the finest agricultural land in Greece. The Lasithi plateau, home of the beautiful old Greek style windmills, provides some of the finest food in Crete, and is famous for the quality of the organic olive oil. Mixing traditional Greek culture with a thriving ex-pat community, Aghios Nikolaos is a unique corner of Greece.
There are many luxury homes for sale in Aghios Nikolaos & Elounda. For example, this villa offers all of the mod cons alongside the traditional Greek experience. At US $ 1 700 000, this is a chance to buy a way of life as well as a home.

There is no place as “Akrotiki” in Santorini… The correct name is Acrotiri and it means Cape…
Also the word “caldaria”, non existent again… Caldera is the correct one…
Proofreading much????
Thanks for the heads up. Akrotiri is now fixed.
Try working 14 hour days on a computer, and then we will see how good your proof-reading is.
I hope that you have better things to do than spend your day trolling the internet for typos.
PS – Caldera was, in fact, spelt correctly. Easy to make a mistake, isn’t it, Anny.
